A pair of iconic Wave rocking chairs, designed by Michal Riabič for Czech furniture maker TON a.s.. These chairs showcase the craftsmanship of hand-bent beech wood combined with ergonomic design and modern aesthetics.
The seats are upholstered in genuine leather in a light tone and include built-in headrests. The chairs show minor signs of use, most notably light scratches on the leather seats. However, they remain in very good condition overall – fully functional and visually appealing.
Historical background
The WAVE chair was introduced after 2010 as part of TON’s contemporary design line. Michal Riabič, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, is a leading figure in modern Slovak design.
TON, based in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, continues the heritage of Thonet, maintaining high-quality bentwood furniture production since 1861 and collaborating with progressive designers worldwide.
