Pendant light “TIMBRE” by Štěpán Tabery for Osvětlovací sklo n.p., Czechoslovakia, 1970s–80s
Product description
Product description
This striking ceiling pendant was designed by industrial designer Štěpán Tabery in collaboration with Osvětlovací sklo n.p. during the 1970s and 1980s. Originally installed in modern interiors such as hotel lobbies, cocktail bars, and public spaces, this piece epitomizes the bold yet functional aesthetic of Czechoslovak lighting design.
The lamp consists of two layered glass elements — an upper opal glass cylinder that diffuses soft ambient light, and a vibrant red glass ring that adds a dramatic sculptural and chromatic effect. The pendant showcases a perfect balance between modernist restraint and expressive form.
An iconic collectible for lovers of mid-century modern lighting and Czechoslovak industrial design.
