Floor Lamp by Karel Volf – Triplex Glass, Osvětlovací sklo n.p.,
Product description
Product description
This full-glass floor lamp, designed by Karel Volf for Osvětlovací sklo n.p. in the 1970s, stands as an exceptional piece of Czechoslovak lighting design.
Crafted from triplex opal glass (three-layered cased glass with a milky white finish), the lamp embodies refined simplicity and traditional glassmaking mastery. The rounded form and polished metal accent in the center reflect the futurist and hotel-modernist aesthetics of the era.
Originally created for only the most luxurious hotels in Prague, such as hotel Praha, Hotel Fórum, and Palace Hotel, these lamps were never sold to the public and remain extremely rare today.
