Radomír Hofman – autor nadčasových židlí, např. modelové řady 514TON (Factory of Bentwood Furniture) is one of the world’s oldest furniture companies with an unbroken production tradition since 1861, when Michael Thonet established his legendary bentwood factory in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Czech Republic.
After nationalization in 1953, the company operated under the name TON, national enterprise, and became synonymous with high-quality bentwood furniture across Czechoslovakia and beyond. To this day, production remains based on traditional techniques of manual wood bending using steam and craftsmanship.
Today, TON is a respected global brand known for fusing historic craftsmanship with contemporary design. The company collaborates with internationally acclaimed designers and has won prestigious awards like the Red Dot, iF Design Award, and Good Design Award.
